Es la canción que cantan los soldados en From here to eternity (De aquí a la eternidad, 1953) cuando se reúnen en el dormitorio y en sus noches de permiso. La letra fue escrita por el propio James Jones (autor de la novela From here to eterniy) e interpretada por Merle Travis, quien tiene un papel como el soldado Sal Andersom.
